Whether your business is a strictly online business or an offline business, you need to be using advertising business internet marketing strategies. If you aren’t using the power and enormous potential of the internet to gain attention for your business,  why not? After all, your competitors sure are.

Of course, if your business is an online storefront or affiliate marketing business you have no doubt already understand how important marketing is to your success. If you aren’t getting the website visitors you need, you can’t make any money and if you don’t make any money, you don’t have a business.

The internet changes quickly. A few years ago no one even knew what Twitter was. Today many savvy business owners, both online and off, have come to rely on the tweet as a way to build rapport with their customers as well as add new customers.

There are many ways you can market your business using the internet, and as I said above, new ones come around all the time. To really get the most out of your advertising you will want to create a campaign that encompasses several methods.

To do this, you can either do it yourself or hire a company that specializes in online marketing. Don′t worry if your business is small and you’re just starting out. You can do it yourself if you need to, once you get some money coming in you can then continue to do it yourself and keep more of the money you make, or hire a company to do it for you, the choice is yours.

But with so many choices for online marketing such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), article marketing, banner ads, Pay Per Click (PPC), classified ads, to name just a few, having someone else coordinate it all can free you up to do those things that only you can do, like take your kids to the park!

The really neat thing about many of these online marketing techniques is that many of them are completely free to do. They only require some of your time and for many people who are just getting started, that’s all they can afford.

For those of you who don′t have much money and have to rely solely on sweat equity, your best bet is to focus on one of the methods to start, preferably a free method like SEO or article marketing. Take the time to perfect that method than move on to another.

That is the best way to start generating traffic so you can start making a little money. As your business grows and you are making more money you can hire others to help you out and /or you can move on to other ways of getting traffic that cost money such as PPC and banner ads.

The sooner you implement a sound strategy to advertising business internet marketing the sooner you can start making more sales and growing your business. Time’s a wasting!

With video becoming the wave of the future when it comes to online advertising, it only makes sense that you fully familiarize yourself with the concepts and all the ins and outs.  Start by using these video marketing tips. It will help you get started and even perfect your technique if you already have a little experience.

There are a few different ways you can do your online videos. You can actually record yourself with a video camera while you show how to do a certain task.  This is very effective when it comes to illustrating activities that aren’t done on the computer such as training a dog,  planting a seed, etc.

For those videos that are explaining how to do something online, you can use screen capture software that will actually record everything that is on your computer screen and turn it into a video. This method is best for many types of internet marketing tutorial videos.

Depending on which type of videos will work best for your niche and your online business, you may need different tools. This list will give you an overview of some of the most commonly used products that you can incorporate into your video marketing:

1. If you are going to be showing how to do a certain activity, offline, than you will need a good quality video camera. Now, don’t think that you have to have a thousand dollar camera. You can get great quality video from a camera that’s only a few hundred dollars. Just remember that if you′re going to be recording things outside or if you′re going to be recording yourself, you′ll probably also want a sturdy tripod to support your camera while you′re filming.

2. Screen capture software such as Camtasia. There are many varieties available online, some are even free. For the most part you won’t need a lot of bells and whistles, just good quality that will allow your viewers to follow along with what you′re doing online.

3.  Make sure you have a good quality microphone. If they can’t hear or understand what you′re saying they will stop watching. Again, a good microphone doesn’t have to be expensive, just look around online and you can find just what you′re looking for. Make sure that you take your location into consideration when picking out your microphone. For example, if you′re going to be recording outside where there is a lot of traffic or other noises, you want a microphone that can handle that ambient noise and where you can still be heard.

4. Create a script for your video. As someone who spends a lot of time online I can tell you that I will stop watching any video that is poorly made. It doesn’t matter if it’s poor video or audio quality or just poorly outlined. My time is too valuable to sit through someone trying to stammer their way through a video. Know what you′re going to say, make and follow a script and if you mess up, try again. If you want them to keep watching your video, you better make sure that it’s worth watching.

5. When you submit your video to video directories make sure you optimize it using your niche related keywords. You′ll want to include 3-5 good targeted keywords in your title, your description and your tags. Also make sure to include the URL of your website so they can check out more about what you′re promoting.

These basic video marketing tips will help you get started and succeed with your online marketing efforts much more quickly than if you relied solely on the trial and error method.

Keyword internet marketing strategy is something you need to understand very well before you begin your online business. Everything online is geared to getting as much traffic as you can and to do that you need to know which keywords your would be customers are searching for and target those keywords.

Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? And, in reality, it’s not rocket science but before you jump in to the deep end you need to understand that more goes into good keyword research than just finding out which keywords your customers are using.

For example, let’s say you have a website that sells baby strollers. You would assume that anyone interested in buying a baby stroller would use keywords like “baby stroller” “cheap baby stroller”, “baby stroller sales”, “baby stroller on sale″, etc.

But do you have any idea how many people search for those terms? Do you know how many other competitors are trying to get their websites to rank for those terms (how competitive they are)? Do you know what other terms people may be searching for?

In order to make the most out of your keyword internet marketing strategy you need a full picture, not just an “idea” of what keywords will work and which ones won’t.

Targeting a keyword that gets 100,000 searches a month sounds like a sound strategy and a great way to make huge money. But, not so fast, if it were that easy everyone online would be a millionaire.

The problem is that the keywords that get hundreds of thousands of monthly searches also have a ton of competition. All of these other websites are fighting over that one little keyword crumb. Many of these sites have full time staffs dedicated to optimizing their website so they can rank well for that keyword. Most beginners and small online business owners simply can’t compete.

Not to worry, though, there are many other very viable strategies to follow. The simplest one is to find longer keyword phrases (longtailed keywords) and target those instead.

It’s true, they may only get a few thousand searches a month but they will also have far less competition. And, you can target as many of these long tailed keywords as you want.

So, why fight over the scraps when you can target a dozen or so long tailed keywords that are all getting a 1,000 searches a month? By using this strategy you could very realistically get about 12,000 visitors a month to your website!

Not too shabby. Let the big boys fight over the other keywords while you just quietly go about your business.
Ultimately, your online business will live or die by the quantity and quality of the website visitors you get to your site.

No matter what method you use to get those visitors, you will need a solid keyword internet marketing strategy. I hope I′ve shown you that trying to go after the highly competitive keywords is more work and most likely won’t net you much reward.”
