Make an offer so that you can get paid to build your business. After your visitor registers, re-direct them to a ’special offer’ page that thanks them for taking time to request your information, then present a one-time offer that will save them money on a product directly related to your free content that will provide a solution to their frustration or problem. This can be done in different ways.
For example, you could make this offer a one-time discount that is only good if they act right then. If they pass on the offer, then they miss out on the discount. However, if they decline, you could choose to present the item again later on the free content download page at a higher price. This could be a “second chance” price which is higher than the first price but lower than the regular price(best option). Or simply present it at the normal selling price. You will have people who will take you up one of these offers. So don’t brush this off. It’s not overkill. It’s just business. People are accustomed to being presented with offers and upsells offline in brick and mortar stores and even on TV. So don’t be afraid of using this in your marketing process! Another option, after the visitor opts in, is to simply re-direct them to a sales page of the product related to the free content. This gives them immediate exposure to the product that ultimately you′re going to keep sending them to later.
NOTE: It is suggested when using an OTO (one time offer) that you provide a link to the freebie download page at the bottom of the offer for those who want to pass and get immediate access to the freebie. Or at the very least, tell them that they need to check their email for the download link. Tell them what the Subject line will say and what the From field will read. If only sending to a sales page after they register, then make sure you remind them on the opt-in page that they must check their inbox to receive access to the information that you′re giving away.Will be comtinue…
