Each of these resources has advantages and disadvantages, but as usual one comes out ahead when you consider all of the components involved.

Like everything else that Google touches, Blogger has been instrumental in bringing a administer that was the privy of the technologically savvy into the mainstream. In this case it is the idea of keeping an online journal. Blogger’s key advantages are that it is extremely easy to use and very fast to fix up. Because it is owned by Google, Blogger integrates well with the full line of Google systems..

Although the advantage for using your own domain name does bring Google back into the conventional, most people consider a Blogspot blog to be a little less professional-looking than a WordPress blog. Unless you are very enticed in having your blog integrated with other features of your Google account, WordPress is probably the platform that you will choose to use for your enterprise blog.

Because WordPress is open-source application software it is constantly updated. The basic code is very light, and the extensibility is in the add-ons that can help your WordPress blog do approximately anything you could possibly want. Top 5 Ways To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site it also takes money to make money.

BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site.

Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.

You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

Blog Making Money – Can You Do It

Monday, February 1st, 2010

A blog making money is a blog that is generally successful. While this isn’t the focal point of many blogs, for some, it’s a nice addition to their income and for the more successful, their only source of income and one that allows them a well enough lifestyle. For the most part, making money off blogs is a mystery to many people – it doesn’t have to stay that way. Read on and you may discover another way for you to make money.

Before anything else, you need to be able to write fairly consistently and at a steady pace. Three or four entries a week doesn’t seem like much at the start, but after a while it can wear even the most devoted writers down. It’s just like any job – sometimes you get bored with it and you step out for a day or two, but the Internet is a far more demanding ruler than many bosses. Plus nothing feels better than knowing you have a blog making money. When you have a solid and devoted following, you can afford to miss one or two days or even weeks. Some sites even go a month without updating, but at the very start, you need to be able to stick to it like white on rice.

For those who open blogs based on products, you’re in luck – you can probably get on the affiliate bandwagon and make some money that way. Now, how does that work? It’s fairly simple. Being an affiliate to a website basically means that you’re advertising them on your website, either by having content related to the main website and linking to them or by showing their ads on your site. Payment isn’t like it is in other media industries though. The Internet’s just a different field than television, one that requires a different payment method.

Generally, the setup is a pay-per-blank, wherein the blank is something that changes from group to group when it comes to blog making money. Most people go for the pay per click variant, which means exactly what it suggest – payment only occurs once a viewer on your site clicks the link to their site. Another popular variant, one mostly for merchandise sites such as Amazon, is the pay-per-purchase variant. A user needs to do more than simply browse through the numerous items available – they actually have to purchase something.

Payment for advertising for blog making money varies from group to group. Luckily the internet and thus, the people you can meet in it is so wide that you’ll probably find someone or a group that wants to advertise or have you as an affiliate. Build a good site and the money will come.

Probably. The internet and blogging aren’t some magic words that you can use to instantly get ahead in the rat race. It just doesn’t work that way. You still have to work hard and make a site that advertisers would actually be interested in, that can give real traffic to those who would make you an affiliate site. Work hard, put in the leg work and yours might be a blog making money.

7 Online Marketing Tips For Beginners

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Here are 7 online marketing tips for beginners. We all have to start somewhere and there is a learning curve for selling information and products on the internet. That is why I wanted to provide you with the best online marketing tips that I have developed.

1.)An online marketing tip that I would advise everyone to take is to take some time to learn a system. Almost every system can produce results. Don’t go from one system to the next. Take some time to learn one system.

2.)Take action! People get stuck with “analysis paralysis.” Once you have settled on a system and learned the basics, don’t be afraid to take action. Get out there and do it. If you make mistakes, so be it. You will have setbacks, but don’t worry about it. Fail fast and fail forward.

3.)Learn to write sales copy. Perhaps the most important online marketing tip I can give you is to learn to write sales copy. There may come a time when you outsource this task to professional copywriters, but knowing the basics yourself will allow you to evaluate their work. Besides, you probably can’t afford to spend thousands of dollars right now on a professional, so learning to do it yourself is important.

4.)Learn to write articles quickly. One of the best ways to promote your products is to write articles like this one and submit them to directories. But, if it takes you 2 hours to write a single article, you will not be able to put out the quantity needed to make money online. One expert has a system down where he can write articles in just 7 minutes. While it will probably take you more than that at first, strive to write at least two an hour. They don’t have to pass your 10th grade English teacher’s muster, they just have to send people to your site.

5.) Consider Pay Per Click. PPC is the quickest way to deliver traffic to your website. However, if you don’t learn how to do it, you can lose your shirt. If you have a product that you want to start selling right away, PPC is the best avenue for you. But learn the ins and outs before you bid on high priced, high trafficked keywords.

6.)Create processes. You shouldn’t re-invent the wheel every time you create a new product or a new web site. Instead, have a specific system. Develop your own guide book to setting up a blog or promoting an ebook. Not only will this save you time in the long run, it will also help you make more money. This is one of those online marketing tips that so many marketers miss.

7.)Create value. Don’t think that internet marketing is all about taking your customer’s money. Don’t think of your customers as “marks.” Develop relationships with them and provide value to them. It’s much harder to get an initial customer than have someone who trusts you buy from you again.

So, there are seven online marketing tips to get you going. Now, go get started!
